Chillin' on a Friday with Friday Comics!

Why I make a new comic strip for my Instagram every Friday

· illustration

A while back I discovered the brilliant iPad app Comic Draw. I stumbled upon it accidentally since I needed some speech bubbles for an illustration project. The app really delievered on the speech bubble-front, and in a lot of other ways as well.

The last few years drawing apps for the iPad pro have matured, and now there are options out there which compete with Adobes illustration giants on (practically) every front. I am talking about the excellent drawing app Procreate, and the vector graphic software Affinity Designer for iPad. Comic Draw is right up there in its own genre.

I was so happy with the app that I decided to make some small comic strip every Friday, just to have a bit of fun and create some content for my Instagram account. The point is to draw them fast and make them silly, and tell a funny story that happened to me in real life. Here are a couple of the first Friday comics.

I'll probably post some more of my comics here on the blog in the future. Meanwhile you can check them out every Friday at

Until next time, have a good one!
